* Polymer Modified * Contains CliniCleen * Water Resistant
Description
Superior Coloured Grout is polymer modified and dries to a smooth, compact, mould resistant grout. It is ideal for use in bathrooms and other wet areas as its compact finish reduces porosity and makes it more water resistant. It only needs to be mixed with water and dries without noticeable shrinkage.

Precautions
Superior Coloured Grout cannot be used for flexible expansion joints or joints subject to movement. Special care should be taken when using tiles with rough or open pored surfaces, a coat of Penetrating Seal before grouting commences will aid clean-up. Colour shade variations may occur due to tile porosity, unfavourable on-site conditions or finishing techniques.
Preparing the Joints
Before filling, the joints must be cleaned from the top to the bottom of the tile side. If the tiling has been laid with adhesive, grouting may be carried out after the adhesive has set (not less than 6 hours). When using conventional thick bed mortar, it is advisable to wait 2-3 days for walls and 7-8 days for floors. (Too much moisture can cause irregular grout colour.)
Mixing Superior Coloured Grout
Pour Superior Coloured Grout into a clean bucket containing 1 litre of clean water for every 5kg of powder and mix until it becomes a smooth paste. Allow the mix to slacken for 2-3 minutes, re-stir and the product is ready to use.
DO NOT use excessive amounts of water when mixing, as this can cause irregular colour and weaken the grout.
DO NOT use an electric drill above 300 rpm as this can entrap air into the mix causing grout to dry soft and powdery or with unsightly pin holes in the surface.
Pot Life
Once mixed, the Superior Coloured Grout has a pot life of approximately 2 hours at 20°C and 50% relative humidity.
Application
Working in small areas at a time, completely fill the joint with Superior Coloured Grout. With the aid of a smooth rubber squeegee or a firm rubber float, compact the grout firmly into the joints. Excess grout can be removed with the squeegee or rubber float in a diagonal direction. Let the mix firm up for approximately 10-20 minutes or until it is no longer plastic. When grouting floors with a squeegee the mix can be made slightly runnier for easier application, however, in this case, the floor should be covered with the grout powder which will be absorbed by the joint mix before cleaning begins.
Cleaning
Ensure the surface is cleaned as work progresses. A proper grouting system should be used, such as a Rubi 20915. (Refer to Morgan Adhesives) If cleaning is carried out too early, (when the paste is still plastic) the joints may be partially emptied. Use a damp sponge with small pore structure to clean up the tile surface and smooth the joints. Rinse the sponge frequently. It is very important to use a minimum amount of water, as overworking the joints can cause water float and or shade variation. When the grout has sufficiently hardened in the joints, polish the surface with a clean dry cloth.
Damp Cure
All grouts should be damp cured for 48 hours. Refer Australian Standards AS 3958 Part 1 Section 5.7.3.
Coverage
Coverage is approximate only and will vary according to the size of the tile and width of the grout joint. As a guide, 20kg of Superior Coloured Grout will cover approximately 40 square metres.
