Description
Slate Seal is a solvent-based clear acrylic sealer suitable for use on natural stone products. It cures to form a gloss film which is stain resistant and unaffected by UV rays.

Precautions
Always try a small area first to determine ease of application and desired results. The area to be sealed must be thoroughly dry before use. Gloves and eye protection should be worn during application. Not for use on exterior floors where the risk of condensation from below may occur. Avoid recoating fresh work as this will leave marks on the finish — if small areas have been missed it is better to recoat later. Grout Seal is flammable, so smoking should be avoided during application.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be treated with Slate Seal must be thoroughly dry, free from oil, dirt, grease or any other contaminants.
Applying Slate Seal
Use Slate Seal at full strength, do not dilute. Stone and concrete sealer is best applied with a brush. Application with a roller may cause unsightly bubbles to appear on the surface. One coat of sealer is usually sufficient, however, additional coats may be necessary for very porous surfaces. Use Solvent TX to remove surface scratches or to completely strip the floor of sealer. Slate Seal is ready for light traffic when dry, approximately 20-30 minutes and heavy traffic after 12 hours.
Coverage
One litre of Slate Seal will be sufficient to cover 8-10 square metres, however, this may be reduced significantly on porous surfaces.
Cleaning
Morgan's Solvent TX can be used to clean Slate Seal from brushes, etc.
Expected Wear
Depends on traffic, approximately 12 months.
Shelf Life
Store un-used Slate Seal in original sealed container away from children.
