Precautions

Waterproof Membrane Primer is unsuitable for:

• priming MDF board or wax impregnated wood;
• metal substrates.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

All substrates to be primed must be flat and true, free from oil, dirt, grease or any other contaminants. Substrate preparation must conform to AS 3958.1.1991.

Concrete: New concrete must be allowed to cure for 6 weeks and should have a wood float finish. Use Floor Prep to acid etch an adhesive key into concrete finished with a steel float. Old concrete must be allowed to dry for 24 hours prior to priming.

Cement Render: Render to be left with a wood float finish and allowed to cure for 7 days.

Fibre Cement Sheets: Joints must be taped with PVC duct tape and all boards fixed according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Plasterboard: Plasterboard must be fixed as per manufacturer's instructions. Prime all jointing compounds.

APPLICATION AND TOOLS

Use Waterproof Membrane Primer undiluted for priming applications. Apply Waterproof Membrane Primer with a roller or brush in one even coat. Do not puddle the primer.

COVERAGE

1 litre of Waterproof Membrane Primer primes approximately 12 square meters of absorbent substrate.

CURE TIME

Waterproof Membrane Primer cures in approximately 1 hour at 23°C and 50% relative humidity. High density substrates or temperatures during priming below 10°C will significantly increase the cure time.

CLEAN UP

Remove excess Waterproof Membrane Primer from the surrounding surfaces after 10 minutes with water. Tools and hands can be cleaned with water while the primer is still wet.

SHELF LIFE

Twelve months if stored in a dry & elevated position in the original factory sealed packaging.

Waterproof Membrane Primer is available in 1L & 4L containers.
